The Manager, Conferences and Sponsorship Sales is a sales, account management and meeting planning position. This professional achieves business objectives and revenue goals through establishment of rapport with existing and potential customers, prospecting and excellent presentation and communications skills. This position plays a key role in driving sponsorship, exhibit and advertising revenue of HIDA/HEF’s numerous conferences and exhibitions.

Recruits new exhibitors and attendees by:
Identifying and maintaining a list of qualified prospects
Engaging decision-makers via telephone, in-person and email/webex.
Facilitating sales presentations and closing sales.
Cross-selling other HIDA/HEF revenue opportunities as they arise.
Retains exhibitors and attendees engagement strategies including:
Developing and executing a proactive account management strategy to ensure value of event participation is well understood by company management.
Acting as key company’s point of contact to answer service questions.
Facilitate year round reviews with all customers annually.
Supports event production by:
Directing all aspects of the conference exhibit hall including exhibitor needs, schedules and pricing.
Assisting with meeting planning of events.
Playing a key role in Streamlining Healthcare Conference attendance strategies, internal calling campaigns and implementation of the Executive Business Exchange and Reverse Expo.
Participating in the development of relevant marketing and communication messages and materials.
Implementing schedule of email “drip” campaign to members and prospects.
Oversees administrative matters connected to HIDA and HEF events.
This position will report to the Director, Conferences and Sponsorship Sales.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.
Two to three years of direct work experience in sponsorship, exhibit, advertising or corporate sales management. University or college degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of medical products, markets and/or related distribution industry.

Proficiency in a variety of software and on line applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Basecamp and iMIS.
General office. Over time as required. Travel up to 4-6 times per year.
