The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is seeking an outgoing and experienced person Develops, integrates and implements broad-based multimedia, social media and communication plans to publicize and promote OSF’s performances, events and initiatives with messaging that conveys OSF’s values of excellence, engagement, equity, diversity and inclusion. Each year OSF presents an eight-and-a-half-month season of eleven plays in three theatres, totaling approximately 800 performances, plus extensive educational offerings to all playgoers.
Duties include, but are not limited to, acting as primary public relations contact for all OSF departments and is the official spokesperson for OSF; developing, coordinating and implementing seasonal publicity, communications and social media plans; framing and pitching stories about OSF’s performances, events, and initiatives to national, regional and local media outlets.

As a supervisor, the Associate Director of Communications will be expected to embrace the Festival’s commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Annual salary range starts at $65,000; final offer will be made based on experience. Benefits include, medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and a matching retirement program. Relocation reimbursement and housing assistance may be available.

Among other requirements, the ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in media and public relations that includes progressive assumption of greater levels of responsibility; a demonstrated track record of developing successful and productive relationships with cultural and ethnic specific media outlets; the ability to pass a background check and driver record check.
