This position will assist with communications and marketing efforts to support organizational goals and initiatives. As part of the Brand Marketing Team in External Affairs, the role focuses on audience development and engagement, content marketing and distribution, the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for events and initiatives, and analytics reporting on all marketing efforts. In addition, this role partners with departments across the institution to develop communications and messaging to promote events and opportunities to the community. Projects include implementation of various aspects of marketing campaigns via email marketing; social media; digital signage; the Berklee website; and print, digital, and radio advertising. This position will be responsible for measuring and assessing the success of each campaign through a variety of metrics, to inform the strategy for future campaigns. The manager will assist the Associate Director for Online Marketing and Communications in supporting other departments with their content management, digital signage management, and email marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (list 5-8 essential job functions)
Develop marketing campaigns for External Affairs events and other departments’ events as needed.
Contribute to content marketing strategies with other members of the Marketing and Communications team to support institution-wide initiatives and events.
Support Associate Director of Digital Marketing and Social Media with digital advertising efforts for areas of the institution, including Enrollment, Advancement, and Global Initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with print and radio outlets for advertising and partnerships.
Develop marketing campaigns for Berklee Presents department to reach targeted audiences.
Produce faculty/staff and student newsletters, in collaboration with associate director for marketing and communications at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Assist with management of on-campus digital signage.
Support brand awareness by focusing on accurately delivering the institution’s messages to specific audiences, including prospective and current students, alumni, parents, donors, event attendees, faculty, and staff in compelling ways.
Conduct market research with prospective and current students to inform marketing and communications efforts for other departments’ initiatives.
Advise non-direct report staff with communications responsibilities to enhance their their skills and knowledge of communications and marketing platforms. Serve in a consulting role to internal clients for communications for different audiences.
Support Online Marketing and Communications Manager with employee communications efforts. Stay Stay up-to-date on employee communications best practices, and use survey results and senior management feedback to fine-tune current channels.
Deal with highly complex situations with significant organization-wide impact. Must communicate about highly nuanced issues with different staff and management levels.
Participates in the life of Berklee through committee work, concerts, special events, etc.
