The SC Johnson College of Business atCornell University invites applications for one full time tenured position in our Marketing Area. This position, intended for placement in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, will be based at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, although some teaching and research may be done at the Ithaca campus. Applicants with a PhD (defended or ABD) in Marketing or a related field (e.g., Economics, Statistics) will be considered.
Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor ranks with strong research and teaching interests in the technology commercialization and entrepreneurship mission of the campus are especially well-suited to the mission of Cornell Tech. Responsibilities of the position include research in area(s) of expertise, teaching basic and advanced courses in management at the MBA, EMBA and/or Ph.D. levels, supervision of doctoral candidates, and service to the Area, School, campus, and/or College.
The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three AACSB-accredited Schools: the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the School of Hotel Administration (Hotel School). The Marketing Area within the Cornell SC Johnson consists of 11 faculty at Johnson and about 15 additional marketing faculty in the other two schools within the SC Johnson College of Business. Faculty members in the Marketing Area conduct research on diverse topics using a variety of research methods.
Johnson offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, MBA/FMA, MPS, and PhD programs. Its MBA programs are consistently ranked in the top 20. Johnson graduate programs at Cornell Tech include a PhD program and an MBA program offered in a multidisciplinary environment that includes law and technical areas such as computer science and operations research.
