Description: The Department of Marketing Communication in the School of Communication at Emerson College seeks an Executive-in-Residence to fill a full-time, non-tenure track, renewable contract position (term faculty). The appointment begins on August 23, 2018.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

The ideal candidate will have a career focus on translating marketing strategy into creative communication. Experience should include expertise in account planning, managing campaign development, directing creative execution, and supporting strong client/agency relationships. Ten or more years of professional managerial experience in directing and implementing fully integrated marketing communication programs is required. Qualified candidates will have an MBA or other relevant masters degree. Prior classroom teaching experience at the college level in the context of a diverse student community is required.We seek a colleague to contribute to a growing, vibrant department; an individual who thrives in an inclusive learning environment. The successful applicant will join our faculty teaching rotation in the marketing communication undergraduate and graduate curricula. The normal teaching load is three four-credit courses during both the fall and spring semesters. The position anticipates service contributions to include student advising, participation in department committees and the life of the college generally.
The Marketing Communication Department serves nearly 1,000 undergraduate and graduate degree candidates and employs a faculty of approximately fifty. The department has been named #5 among undergraduate departments of marketing in the United States by U.S.A. Today. All programs are professionally oriented and grounded in the liberal arts.
