Assist in the direction of marketing, web and creative services within the University Marketing, Communication and Media Relations Division; implement and manage brand programs.
Manages market research initiatives, including qualitative and quantitative projects, and associated budgets.
Coordinates activities with brand, training, and related personnel within the organization and outside vendors.
Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial presentations to industry and community groups and associations; may make presentations promoting the organization to such groups.
May supervise marketing staff and assist in overseeing other administrative operations in the department.
Communicates with and supports external clients and/or partners where appropriate.
Designs survey Instruments and coordinates the collection of data; compiles Information, analyzes results, and disseminates findings through reports, presentations and meetings.
Interprets and predicts audience trends, develops proposals, and monitors research projects; helps use the research to seek Improvement across the University; helps develop detailed brand marketing strategies.
Provides expertise and guidance to university programs and departments with regard to market research methodology, analytic techniques, and interpretation of findings
Contributes to departmental strategy formulation and planning; creates and anticipates opportunities that will benefit the University; plans and implements brand-related policies and procedures.
Carries out ad-hoc market research.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree Experience Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly related to the type of work being performed.

Leads comprehensive marketing efforts for Public Art of the University of Houston System including, but not limited to, market research, branding, image building, media placement and outreach.
Develops and implements marketing campaigns, evaluates marketing plans, and develops strategies to respond to changing market conditions.
Leads departmental operations, including management of staff, resources and budgets including tracking return on investment.
Additional Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the position should possess the following:
Minimum of 3-5 Years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, branding, public relations or a related filed required.
Knowledge of various techniques for successfully disseminating information to the public and targeted audiences through various channels of communication including: print, web, email, social media and other digital channels.
Experience in editing and analyzing the materials prepared by others to ensure they are consistent in communicating the department message.
Excellent communication, presentation, organization and computer skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Prior experience in a large complex higher education or health care organization preferred.
