Reporting to the General Manager of the Hilton Hotel, the Director of sales and marketing will be responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives.
Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives to include, but not limited to, interacting with clients and the media, directing solicitation efforts, securing business, operating information management systems, preparing and presenting statistical and performance reports and managing all financial aspects of the operation.
Oversee Sales, Catering, Conference Services, Public Relations and Revenue Management for the Hotel and ensure that all activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue.
Direct and coordinate the formulation of sales forecasts, development of guest room rates, collection and reporting of sales data, and management of sales department budget (Revenue/ Expense).
Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within the market and ensure that the sales team is held accountable for those accounts within their respective territories.
Direct efforts of sales team including the hiring and allocation of sales personnel; establishment and communication of departmental/individual job goals and criteria of job performance for assessment and improvement.
Utilize and apply current technology and systems effectively to establish forecasting best practices and implement changes to the sales process in response to competitors changes.
Participates in the development of the department budget and monitor throughout the year to ensure that sales and expenditures targets are met.
Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.
Support and promote all corporate programs to increase customer awareness of Hilton Hotel and deliver outstanding guest service.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelors and 7 years experience
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years experience in hotel industry experience with at least 3 years in a Sales and Marketing managerial role.
Bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
