1) Create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate audiences; develop the overall layout and production design for posters, brochures, postcards, social media and email; acquire input/approval from internal managers and project leads for relevant marketing materials.Â (35%)
2)Â Oversee documentation; researching, sourcing, scheduling and assigning photographers and videographers for promotion; manage communications, fee and expense negotiations, creating detailed cost estimates, serving as liaison to professional printers and ensure all vendor printed materials meet brand standard.Â (25%)
3) Interacts with TAPS internal and external partners to coordinate mutually beneficial communication plans; write marketing content including eblasts, press releases, social media copy, and other content as needed, in alignment with the TAPS brand; coordinates development of resources and announcements to be distributed on the website, social media, and/or via email, and relevant university and Chicago theater news outlets.Â (15%)
4) Help create workflow for managing, distributing and gathering of image assets, and stay abreast of current technology in order to identify areas for improvement of existing image workflow and processes. Â (10%)
5)Â Assist Managing Director in supervising and managing TAPS part-time student administrative staff. Â (10%)
6)Â Attend meetings, rehearsals, and workshops. Â (5%) Â

Preferred Qualifications Education 1) Bachelorâ™s degree in theatre, marketing, or public relations.
1) Two years of post-undergraduate professional Communications, Public Relations, or marketing experience.
Technical Knowledge or Skills 1) Proficiency in Mac and PC environments. 2) Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and online organizational tools. 3) Proficiency with Mailchimp, Adobe and InDesign software platform.
