GSD Executive Education seeks a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director to run digital marketing, web development, and technology initiatives and functions, to oversee and implement improved data and CRM systems, in some cases to create web content, both design and text, and to assist with program delivery and office systems as needed. This position is focused largely on marketing, web, and technology, with the program planning and delivery functions as a secondary focus. The position requires a creative, technically skilled, intellectually sophisticated, globally versed professional with several years of experience in comparable settings. We seek a seasoned professional with proven excellence in judgment, communication, exceptional attention to detail and able to deliver flawless work to deadline. Relevant Harvard experience and executive education experience a strong plus.
Marketing: Working under guidance of Director and in consultation with colleagues
Research content, competition, target audience, market demand, and growth potential for our current and prospective future programs.
Lead on digital marketing, coordination of social media and targeted email campaigns, design and execute SEO strategy and analytics.
Shape messaging for marketing and outreach, both by composing core content and editing that of instructors and colleagues.
Produce in-house graphic design and original content (text and media) for marketing and outreach campaigns.
Supervise third-party vendors in digital and print marketing and media production.
Set marketing strategy and manage budget, production schedule, and priorities accordingly.
Lead on website development and maintenance, research and test new tools and platforms, and launch system-wide upgrades.
Design and construct custom Salesforce CRM database, engineer the migration of historic data into this new database, build the user interfaces and reporting functions, and train other members of our team on its deployment.
Represent GSD Executive Education on pertinent cross-school committees and working groups as assigned, and at educational technology fora beyond Harvard.
Executive Education Programs and other tasks
Working collaboratively and in consultation with colleagues,
Design and implement efficient workflows with increased automation, integrated with Salesforce CRM system.
Conduct data audits and analyses to locate areas for growth and improvement.
Support planning and delivery of programs.
Supervise contracting of instructors, venues, and event vendors for assigned programs.
Other duties as assigned.
May have limited supervisory responsibilities associated with student interns and temporary employees.
Salary Grade: 057
Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
BA required, Advanced Degree in related area useful.
Strong analytical skills and experience using data/metrics and creating reports.
Fluency in several design and software packages needed to deliver duties described.
Proficiency in graphic design software.
Previous experience with digital marketing essential.
Must be able to work overtime hours on some evenings and weekends as required by programs running, particularly in summer and on trips to deliver programs abroad. Ability and willingness to travel internationally required.
Customer focused, with proven ability to develop trusting working relationships with colleagues and participants.
Must be highly motivated to learn and master new applications and technologies.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work both independently and as a team member, take both direction and initiative in a deadline oriented environment.
Excellent judgment in problem solving on a consistent basis.
