This position reports to the Vice President, Communications & Marketing and will have responsibility for the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies and campaigns designed to engage target audiences, foster greater visibility for the IAA and its programs, and increase revenue opportunities.
Together with the Vice President, Communications & Marketing, the Manager works collaboratively with other departments (Meetings & Events, Membership, Business Operations, etc.) to achieve the IAA’s communications and marketing goals and objectives.
Manages marketing/informational email announcements, including writing of emails and other marketing communications and (with Marketing & Membership Coordinator) the creation, editing, and maintenance of target lists for use in all campaigns.
Oversees and implements social media strategies and activities.
Provides support to Vice President, Communications & Marketing in creating/drafting/updating web pages, newsletters, and additional non-marketing communications.
Prepares status reports on effectiveness of marketing/communications campaigns.
Prepares bench-marking reports/analyses on overall audience penetration, growth, and retention.
Maintains Marketing & Communications calendars.
With Vice President, Communications & Marketing manages contracted services from external vendors for such efforts as design, web content, market research, production, and printing.
6-10 years marketing-related experience, in roles that may include marketing, membership, digital/social media strategy, web content and publications.
Prior nonprofit experience and familiarity with the financial services industry preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Team player, able to work collaboratively and productively across departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Helpful but not required: CRM Database experience, HTML coding, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Discovery Data.
Telecommuting is allowed.
