What You Will Need:
- Bachelorâ™s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field or Masterâ™s Degree
- Proven primary and secondary market research analysis experience
- Ability to design and execute research methodologies as well as analyze data from qualitative research, quantitative surveys and secondary databases
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to draw information and conclusions from raw data
- Expertise in research and evaluation methods, and survey techniques
- Demonstrated proficiency in database programs and data analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, Access, QlickView, SQL, etc.
Job Summary:
A Research Analyst for Consumer Insights in the Planning and Research department is principally responsible for collecting, processing, and interpreting date to formulate reports based upon the research findings. The Analyst must have strong initiative and follow-through and be able to anticipate the needs of clients. He/she must also be resourceful, professional, and a team player. The Research Analyst for the Consumer Insights arm of the Planning and Research Department must have a primary research background as well as the skillset to analyze secondary data. He/she must be able to apply both qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret data, handle numerous tasks simultaneously, prioritize, meet deadlines, prepare written client deliverables, present the findings, and produce substantiated recommendations.
The position requires coordination of projects with diverse groups and an ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be skilled communicator and have the ability to interact, manage, and instruct all levels of employees in the department.
