Sports Marketing Representative

Under the direction of the Tourism Manager, the Sports Marketing Representative is responsible for attracting, retaining and developing sports marketing related events for Wicomico County, Maryland.  The position is responsible for meeting established sales goals in order to grow sports marketing’s economic impact on Wicomico County. Primary responsibilities include event management, which entails format development, team recruitment & registration, budgeting, marketing, securing facilities, sponsorships, scheduling & logistics, and coordination of housing.  Position requires networking with event organizers and other sports industry professionals to bring new tournaments and group business to Wicomico County. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed is required as is some travel.
