The LSU Athletics Department is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Marketing who is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to increase attendance and revenues at intercollegiate athletic events. Job Duties:
50% Develops and implements marketing initiatives to increase attendance and the fan experience for volleyball, gymnastics and softball; Oversees the Mike’s Kids Club program; Assists with the planning, coordination and implementation of all football game day activities and promotions.
30% Identifies creative and innovative programs that engage both existing and potential fans, resulting in an entertaining atmosphere and that encourages spectator loyalty and support; Enhances and cultivates on-campus relationships, resulting in student, faculty and staff support.
15% Provides direct oversight of Graduate Assistants and student interns. Responsible for the hiring process of the student intern program and scheduling of sport assignments.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with two years of experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics or other related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in sports administration, education or other related field.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays. Position requires a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Click Effects Blaze and Crossfire operating systems, Daktronics videoboard equipment, SHOFLO scripting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the Department, the University and community.
