POSITION PURPOSE The purpose of the Insights and Product Marketing Manager role is twofold - to drive the development and distribution of compelling insights and thought leadership, as well as develop product positioning and related marketing materials. The role will report directly to the Head of Marketing for Asia ex-Japan and will work closely with the channel Marketing manager as well as a wide range of regional and global stakeholders, specifically the international community of Insights and Product Marketing Managers and investment communication writers.
Work closely with the Head of Asia ex-Japan Marketing and channel Marketing manager to develop and implement integrated campaign plans for key themes and products focused in fixed income and multi-assets, with key responsibility areas being the development and delivery of messaging and content requirements. If required, support the team to develop equities related content and materials
In close collaboration with the investment communication writing team, create and drive an ongoing process to generate compelling investment insights, thematic content and thought leadership to support institutional and intermediary programmes and priorities
Repackage content as required to suit various communications mediums and target audience needs. Where appropriate, source and manage third party outsourcing relationships in order to deliver content across the full mix of written, video, visual, and digital mediums
Develop and refine product positioning for key strategies targeted to intermediary and institutional clients across Asia ex-Japan, working closely with the investment team and Market Research to understand the competitive landscape, identify differentiators versus competitors
Create and maintain relevant product specific marketing content and materials including brochures and presentation decks
Collaborate with global Insights and Product Marketing partners to regularly and proactively share best practises, exchange ideas and information, and coordinate global content initiatives
Use metrics to optimise effectiveness and demonstrate success of content and campaigns; monitor, share and learn from results to inform future actions
Where required, support the channel Marketing manager to develop promotional and event related communications
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS Required:
Strong knowledge of investment strategy types across equities, fixed income and multi-asset
Strong understanding of the distribution value chain across both institutional and intermediary channels and ability to adapt content and communications to meet audience needs
Strong knowledge of current trends and issues in the financial services industry
Ability to clearly articulate investment themes and strategies
Ability to understand and convey key marketing messages and product positioning in various forms including social media, digital, video
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, organisational and project management skills
Superior communication and influencing skills - ability to communicate locally and across different cultures and time zones respectfully
Ability to work independently and within a close-knit team
Creative thinker and problem solver
Languages: Chinese (traditional and simplified) and English
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role or financial journalism
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics and/or communications/journalism
