Support the organization's strategic plan and departmental goals via researching, planning, implementing, and evaluating CEDIA's strategic marketing communications plans. Leveraging a data-driven approach, directs the efforts of internal marketing communications staff and external vendors, and coordinates with the organization departments at the strategic and tactical levels to achieve business outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures the CEDIA brand is leveraged properly across all marketing communications. As needed, contributes to efforts to evolve the brand as the business and industry evolves. Intimate understanding of how to leverage brand book personas to create targeted content that impacts brand perception and engagement. • Leverages expertise in audience segmentation and market research to advance CEDIA's marketplace visibility. Manages and creates content for paid, owned, and earned media outlets alongside colleagues and offers copyediting expertise as needed. Well-versed in AP Style. Recommends creative strategies and tactics to reach target audiences, including, but not limited to content marketing, digital marketing, white papers, webinars, email marketing, paid advertising, social media and more. Executes on the recommended strategies and tactics efficiently, affordably, and effectively. • Works collaboratively with department colleagues to accomplish cross-departmental project work, looking for efficiencies and synergies. Completes projects on-time and on-budget, using appropriate financial tracking. • Defines and monitors marketing KPIs (e.g., calls/emails, conversion rates) and track campaign performance. Makes recommendations for evolving KPIs in response to strategic planning. • Collaborates with the events team to create experiences that reflect the CEDIA brand, including creating segmented pre- and post-event marketing communications aimed at recruiting and maintaining event attendee numbers, working with CEDIA staff and vendors to develop on-site signage and décor, stage presentations and more. Works collaboratively with the business development team to support event sponsorship sales. • Manages CEDIA advertising buys, including paid digital media strategies/Google AdWords and coordinates ad production. Responsible for lead generation with a focus on customer journeys, leveraging potential client/member list building strategies. Makes recommendations and executes on recommendations. • Manages CEDIA's PR specialist and works collaboratively to implement strategic marketing communications plans. Offers constructive coaching, manages to yearly goals established in concert with direct report(s), completes employee reviews, approves PTO requests and other managerial tasks. • Manages department vendors as needed, including public relations agencies, graphic designers, print shops and more. • Other duties as assigned.

Innovative thinker and self-starter, ability to work well under pressure and with others. • Demonstrated, knowledge skills and abilities in researching, planning, implementing, and evaluating data-driven, integrated marketing communications plans in support of business goals. • A history of successful experiences working with external public relations, advertising and/or creative firms to produce content/advertisements and more that reaches and resonates with target audiences. Personal experience managing digital advertising a plus. • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to both create the strategy and execute on it. Non-territorial and believes in the power of collaboration and cross-functional teams. • Models focus, attention to detail, professionalism, and intense curiosity. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years' experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success. High integrity, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic; strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and passion for communications.
