The Rice Online director of marketing is responsible for building and managing a comprehensive marketing strategy for the office of Global and Digital Strategy at Rice, which oversees both Rice Online and OpenStax. The director of marketing will build Rice Online's digital marketing strategy and evaluate its effectiveness, while also seeking ways to integrate OpenStax offerings into campus initiatives.
Charged with reaching revenue goals, the director of marketing will coordinate the digital marketing efforts of multiple Rice Online online offerings and programs, while working with other campus marketing units to implement new marketing programs and tactics based on development of ROI-based business justification. S/he will promote and strategically reinforce the Rice Online brand and mission, actively seeking out ways to promote Rice Online initiatives on campus and off. The director of marketing will report to the vice president of global and digital strategy, and will work closely with the Rice Online director of operations to set marketing, communication, and enrollment objectives.
