The Manager, Engagement & Philanthropy (Manager) is a key member of the department. The Manager will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors and will focus on strategically expanding the organization’s planned giving program with a goal of significantly increasing this base of support.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders
Secure new, renewed, or increased funding from individuals through online giving, direct mail campaigns, special events, proposals and face-to-face solicitation
Oversee moves management process and support existing Leadership Circle portfolio
Oversee and manage prospect research, including working with Specialist to organize CRM database (Salesforce)
Plan and execute steps for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for donors and funding partners to establish a pipeline of continued support
Design and manage a comprehensive planned giving program and alternative giving strategies; analyze data from incremental results to refine and increase ROI
Work closely with Director to develop and manage consistent messaging to donors and prospects that aligns with solicitation and donor-specific stewardship strategies
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in a frontline fundraising and development role with demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful strategies
Ability to collect, organize and analyze data related to donor giving
Comprehensive knowledge of gift processing and acknowledgement practices
Proficient in Salesforce or comparable donor database
Excellent organizational, writing and verbal communication skills
Strategic and forward thinking; goal-oriented with ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Positive attitude and passion for playing a role in fulfilling the organization's mission
