Detailed Job Description
Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Communications, Marketing & Multimedia Services Department. Duties include coordination of the sale and distribution of NTID educational materials; maintaining and reporting the department budget and budgets of licensed educational materials in RIT Intellectual Property department accounts and unlicensed educational materials in NTID Communications, Marketing & Multimedia Services accounts; coordinating and supporting NTID exhibiting by completing forms, shipping and tracking display equipment, and coordinating conference program book advertising; supervising student employees; and various other administrative support duties.


Department/College Description
NTIDs Communications, Marketing & Multimedia Services Department is responsible for strategic communications initiatives and brand management, developing and implementing internal and external communications plans in support of institutional objectives. The department manages marketing communications, public and media relations, web development, multimedia services, and other related programs that advance NTIDs mission and strategic plan.

NTID is one of the nine colleges of Rochester Institute of Technology. Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:

• Associate's or Equivalent Experience
• 3-5 years experience in an administrative assistant role, preferably in an academic setting

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Desktop publishing/word processing and other computer skills
• Database management skills
• Budget/bookkeeping skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong written communication skills
• Proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to achieve proficiency within three years
