Overview
NYU is seeking a marketing professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to join a newly formed team focused on advancing NYU’s growth and reputation in online education. The Associate Director for Online Education Marketing will work within the Division of Enrollment Management and report to the Executive Director of Online Education Marketing. In this role, the Associate Director will support school teams across campus to market their online offerings by building and implementing strategic marketing plans. Additionally, the Associate Director will support the unit’s success by working to position NYU with creative, unit-specific branding as well as the internal and external promotion of innovative online programs. This role is a three year, fixed-term position.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or related field
Required Experience: 5+ years of marketing experience
Preferred Experience: 5+ years of marketing or communications experience in higher education, Online Program Management company, marketing agencies or not-for-profit sector
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong foundational knowledge of marketing strategy and best practices
Expertise in communications best practices across email, web, social media, SEO, and other digital channels
Proven experience conceptualizing, producing, and delivering storytelling content in both written and multimedia/visual forms (e.g., video, website articles, photo essays)
Experience with web content management systems, email communications, analytics and reporting
Excellent writing, presenting, and communications skills
The ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated effort to promote diversity, inclusion and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment
Enthusiastic about contributing to the ever-expanding evolution of online education
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in HTML
Proficiency in web content development methodology, software, and standards
Proficiency with graphic design and/or multimedia software
Knowledge of social media analytics, social media publishing tools, web analytics and tracking technologies
Ability to analyze, process, and organize large quantities of complex information from a variety of sources
