The Foster School at the University of Washington is seeking an Email Marketing and CRM Manager to join its marketing and communications team within the Office of Advancement. This position will work collaboratively with the marketing team and CRM stakeholders to plan, build, and track effective email campaigns and automation efforts. The primary goal for this position is to help Foster programs implement best email marketing and CRM best practices and support Salesforce implementation. This is a key position within the marketing team that will contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration with measurable results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Email consulting
•Consult with program and center partners on marketing automation and email strategies, project plans, and best practices. •Recommend testing best practices to improve email deliverability and accessibility, and reduce errors on a range of ISPs, and devices. •Provide recommendations on acquired list management methods, opt-in/opt-out processes, and subscription management options with an emphasis on prospect retention and conversion.
Salesforce Support
•Participate in governance decision-making and reinforcement as part of the Salesforce Governance Group. •Serve as a subject matter expert for the CRM community, developing best practices documentation, presentation and training assets. •Provide guidance to Salesforce user community on privacy regulations and customer data risk management issues
Email build and test
•Assist partners in building, sending, and analyzing email and marketing automation campaigns. •Partner with programs to test email campaigns for quality and deliverability. Note any bugs, formatting and style inconsistencies and poor user experiences. •Document quality control procedures for CRM community and provide quality control assistance as needed (e.g., HTML rendering, proofing, device/browser compatibility testing, list management). •Test customer data collection forms and workflows to ensure data are correctly formatted and are accurately mapping to desired data fields. Review all new forms for minimum customer data fields, privacy and subscription management links, completion actions. •Coordinate campaign cadence and messaging for multiprogram and multifunnel prospects. •Regularly analyze and interpret email performance stats and make recommendations for adjusting strategies and reporting based on analysis. •Troubleshoot email marketing issues with IT CRM team and developers as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related area of study, or related work experience •Three or more years’ experience in executing digital marketing and/or communications for an organization or brand and writing/editing a variety of communications designed for diverse audiences
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Experience developing and measuring CRM Marketing programs and campaigns that generate measurable ROI •Demonstrated success in collaborating with partners to achieve strategic goals and cross functional project execution •Minimum 1 year of Salesforce email marketing experience •Salesforce Lightning experience highly desired •Familiarity with marketing automation; Pardot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred •Experience analyzing performance metrics and contextualizing results for stakeholders •Commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.

•Experience with A/B testing •Excellent writing and project management skills and attention to detail •Familiarity working with branding guidelines
