Position Description: The UCLA Anderson Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) team provides relevant content and connections to UCLA Anderson Alumni Network's 42,000+ business school alumni worldwide to meet their ever-changing needs as they move forward through their career.
As part of OAR's marketing team, the Digital Marketing Manager manages, designs, and implements strategic marketing and communication efforts promoted through UCLA Anderson Alumni Network website, email marketing campaigns, Alumni Community, social media, and other digital platforms.
The Manager is charged with creating and building awareness for a curated set of news, stories, resources and events to drive engagement. Further, the Manager launches broad event marketing campaigns including Alumni Weekend, Summer Series, Worldwide Welcome Weeks and Reunions. Finally, the Manager contributes to the development of on-going content marketing efforts, including Class Notes, Alumni Career Services newsletter, and News@Anderson newsletter.
The Manager provides leadership and expertise in best practices for email marketing, website development, campaign design, content management, and project management.
The Manager leverages email marketing software to develop targeted, marketing campaigns to drive alumni engagement of events/webinars, lifelong learning, news, resources, volunteer opportunities, and more.
The Manager effectively implements the tracking and reporting of key marketing metrics to regularly evaluate campaign effectiveness, make recommendations and improve tactics.
The Manager is the lead webmaster for Alumni Network websites, leveraging and adapting wireframes and components developed by UCLA Anderson's Marketing & Communications (MarComm) department.
The Manager designs visual graphics and branding assets used on/for alumni web pages, email, social media, print materials and events, in collaboration with MarComm.
The Manager is part of the core team developing the Alumni Community, a new digital community powered by Salesforce Community Cloud. Areas that the Manager advises on include but are not limited to UI design, visual assets, user support resources, promotional materials, content management, among other needs of the evolving Alumni Community.
The Manager ensures that all communications are in line with UCLA brand guidelines, reflecting a professional level of quality and conveying the school's brand and visual identity.
Periodically, the Manager will provide photography, social media and other general support at events as well as occasional print design support.
The Manager is passionate about working in higher education, connecting with people, and learning about the Alumni Network to identify opportunities and tactics to engage Anderson alumni.
The Manager works independently with oversight and direction from the Associate Director, Marketing & Communications employing strategic analysis to take actions and make decisions that support OAR's long-term goals.
