GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop Hospitality and Tourism Marketing and Sales (HRM230) in an online format consistent with Cape Cod Community College's asynchronous online course development quality standards and/or deliver online instruction and assessment of student learning. This three-credit course is to be delivered in the Fall 2023 semester.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Business, or a closely related field.
Excellent writing skills.
College-level teaching experience in hospitality and tourism courses.
Experience developing and using multimedia (audio, video, podcasts, etc.) to enhance student engagement in active and collaborative learning.
Experience using evidence based best-practices in online learning pedagogy (e.g., frequent communication, active learning practices) that supports student success in ubiquitous spaces.
Experience teaching a diverse student body at a community college or similar environment.
Enthusiasm for and interest in excellence for the delivery of online learning.
Work experience in the hospitality and tourism field.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional development in teaching at the community college level.
Expertise teaching the necessary content knowledge in Hospitality and Tourism, using a popular Learning Management System (i.e. Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard). (Moodle training with respect to course organization and optimization will be provided as needed.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Part-time, non-benefited MCCC position. Compensation for developing this online course $500/credit hour. Compensation for course delivery follows the guideline of the relevant MCCC contract (DCE Pay Scale).
