Job Description Boston University's Metropolitan College (BU MET), one of the University's 17 degree-granting schools and colleges, provides state-of the art-programs to meet the demands of an evolving workforce. BU MET is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented Project & Office Coordinator to join the Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Project Manager, the person in this role will support the department to ensure that projects are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
They will also:
Support the department as the subject matter expert in University operational, financial, and procurement processes.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for successful follow-through of action items and project details.
Monitor progress toward deliverables and overall project health, identifying risks and adjusting when necessary to meet project requirements.
Create and maintain project documentation, including timelines, meeting agendas and minutes, status reports, and other relevant records.
Generate reports, evaluate project data, and provide key insights to inform team decision-making.
Maintain relationships with vendors, update financial records, and reconcile all transactions.
Manage administrative logistics including inventory and procurement of team supplies, tracking expenses, and completing financial reports.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of experience in marketing, higher education, and/or project management.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using project management systems, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, etc.
Requires flexibility and adaptability to new technology in a changing environment and a baseline understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work well under pressure in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment.
