NYU is seeking a SEO Specialist with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to join a newly formed team focused on advancing NYUâ™s growth and reputation in online education.
The SEO Specialist for Online Education Marketing will work within the Division of Enrollment Management and report to the Executive Director of Online Education Marketing. In this role, the SEO Specialist will support school teams across campus by driving the adoption of best practices to maximize search engine optimization.
One of the most important drivers of traffic and interest in online programs is search, so this role will have a tremendous impact on the success of school teams. The SEO Specialist will conduct audits and build University-wide strategies to guide school teams through the process of ultimately increasing the quality and quantity of visitors to their websites.

Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education: Online Bachelorâ™s or Master's degree and certificate, or coursework in marketing, business, or information technology
Required Experience: 2+ years search engine marketing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years digital marketing experience in higher education, Online Program Management company, marketing agencies, or not-for-profit sector
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Expert understanding of SEO best practices. Strong foundational knowledge of web content management systems, HTML, CSS, analytics, and reporting. Experience with Google Analytics, Adwords, and Search Console. Excellent writing, presenting, and communications skills. Expertise in communications best practices to a diverse set of stakeholders. The ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated effort to promote diversity, inclusion and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment. Enthusiastic about contributing to the ever-expanding evolution of online education.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Google Certified Professional preferred. Experience with SEO tools and applications. Proficiency in web content development methodology, software, and standards. Knowledge of social media analytics and tracking technologies. Ability to analyze, process, and organize large quantities of complex information from a variety of sources
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $93,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
