The Director of Technical Marketing advances the business unit's digital capabilities and oversees direct-to-consumer marketing programs. With full profit-and-loss responsibility, the Director creates marketing programs to drive revenue and sales of new products and market share in support of business objectives. The Director champions business unit people management initiatives, manages a diverse team of digital marketing professionals, and collaborates with leaders of other functions to develop and implement marketing programs.
Leads a team to define, design, and develop technical products/services that are aligned with customer needs and market demands.
Designs and implements operational model to support product/service launch, maintenance, release, and life-cycle.
Leads technical requirements definition which includes bringing technical feedback from partners and customers back to the cross functional teams.
Tracks and analyzes competitive activities and market developments to guide development efforts.
Serves as a technical expert and consultative resource for customers, marketing, sales, and suppliers.
Manages teams of product owners, analysts, and developers. Continually evaluates individual and team performance based on established goals and KPIs, and provides coaching and guidance on complex issues.
Collaborates with At-Home Solutions Marketing and enterprise IT functions as well as external agency partners.
In collaboration with Marketing Operations, identifies and implements best practices for leveraging data.
Develops business cases for significant investments in digital platforms, marketing technologies, and other capabilities. Generates alignment with internal stakeholders and presents business cases to Capital Committee/ senior leaders.
Applies expert knowledge of digital marketing practices and of At-Home Solutions' customers, develops annual and multi-year strategies for digital marketing across a variety of channels including websites (edgepark.com, indiemed.com, nursesorders.com), SEO/SEM, email, and more. Establishes budgetary priorities and optimizes spend to drive key objectives.
Applies strong change management competencies and leads digital aspects of business transformation initiatives. Translates changes to the business' strategy and products into a compelling customer digital experience.
Articulates product/service strengths and technical positioning to customers, sales, and marketing teams through the development of compelling product demonstrations, online seminars, and examples.
Champions business unit and enterprise culture and participates in regular people management processes, including performance evaluations, talent management, and recruiting.
12+ years of experience preferred
Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
People management experience with demonstrated success in creating high performing teams highly preferred
Capability to create cross-functional partnerships; Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functions, provide comprehensive counsel, and identify effective solutions for internal/external customers.
