Product or Services Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.
Job Summary
Cardinal Health provides innovative technology and practice management solutions, specialty expertise, and scale to enable specialty physician practices and clinics to deliver high-quality and efficient patient care. As Sr. Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the promotional content strategies that reach specialty physician practices (e.g., oncology, rheumatology, retina, nephrology, etc.). This position will also lead the marketing plan for a large customer event and the marketing strategy targeting community-based urology specialty practices.
Responsibilities
In partnership with other Sr. Marketers on the team, defines the promotional content strategy for priority therapeutic areas and develops the content needed using a combination of internal (self-writing) and external agency support
Recommend and facilitate ways to repurpose content across various marketing channels
Owns the strategy, content and implementation of two bi-monthly e-newsletters that keep our customers informed with industry updates, new solutions and more; Recommends best practices to grow subscribers
Leads the promotions (e.g., webinars, eblasts) for industry insights reports, in partnership with Communications and Research teams
Partners with Communications Business Partners to implement external communications, thought leadership and PR efforts
Builds and executes the promotional plan for an annual Specialty GPOs customer membership event - Knowledge Forum - to drive attendance and ensure a consistent brand experience
Leverages customer and market insights to lead strategic marketing plans and content development to increase urology distribution market share, expand provider adoption of technology solutions, and grow group purchasing organization (GPO) membership
In partnership with Digital Marketing, develops robust lead generation strategies and drives the production of content and related marketing assets to support lead gen and nurturing efforts
Works closely with business leadership and Sales teams to implement, track and measure the effectiveness (ROI) of aligned sales and marketing efforts, fully leveraging Salesforce campaign management and closed-loop reporting
Works closely with Creative Services, Brand Strategy and external agency partners to produce effective and on-brand customer-facing marketing campaigns and tactics
Partners with Sr. Manager of Market Research to define the needs of current and prospective customers
Responsible for the ongoing management and tracking of a Marketing budget
Collaborates effectively with others and builds strategic alliances within the Pharmaceutical Segment and across Cardinal Health
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, preferred
8+ years experience in related field, experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred
Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
Demonstrated project management and marketing skills and experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong decision making and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple initiatives
Ability/willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic travel)
