The Manager, Insurance Training and Channel Marketing is responsible for supporting the RiverSource sales team, leading our field engagement and training efforts with the broker dealer and also developing training content for use by wholesalers, advisors and staff. It's a role that blends core training development with an execution and engagement focus across the firm.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement advisor, staff and wholesaler training by implementing strong project management principles.
Drive the design and development of all associated materials such as curriculum outlines, user/facilitator guides and other instructional design systems, as vital
Partner with other SMEs in Marketing, Product and Sales as needed to accomplish goals and objectives.
Provide ongoing support to the sales organization through and provide updates at meetings.
Resolve and execute on best ways to drive advisor and wholesaler engagement and uptake of programs, campaigns and initiatives created by Insurance Marketing.
Coordinate efforts with other areas of Ameriprise including, field training (advisor and leader), Advisor Business Development Group etc., to enhance collaboration and integration of our efforts.
Drive measurable program results.
Track program participation and results and provide recommendations for improvements, implement approved recommendations quickly.
Reports and supervises budget.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Series 6 or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
5-7 years' related experience
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in training, marketing or related field.
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Must be an independent self-starter with strong project and time management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to be an effective problem solver; ability to proactively solve problems as they emerge and anticipate problems before they occur.
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of Insurance or Financial Services industry experience preferred.
