What Product and Solutions Marketing Contributes to Cardinal Health
Product and Solutions Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service market strategy and life cycle management, including customer needs identification, market research, product or service offering, operational support, pricing, positioning, promotion, and branding. The Nutritional Delivery category serves the enteral feeding market, which is the delivery of nutritionally complete feed directly into the stomach or small bowel. The product portfolio consists of enteral access and delivery devices under the globally recognized Kangaroo™ brand, including the Kangaroo™ enteral feeding pumps and sets portfolio, the Kangaroo™ Feeding Tube with IRIS Technology, and a host of other adult, pediatric, and neonatal enteral feeding products.
The Sr. Manager is a people leader role for the Nutritional Delivery category, leading a small team of one or two people responsible for the core global product marketing and management activities that are foundational for the business. Additionally, this position will have the unique opportunity to be a part of launching disruptive, next generation products currently in development. For reference of historical business investment, recent global product launches in the business include the Kangaroo™ Feeding Tube with IRIS Technology and the Kangaroo™ Connect wireless enteral feeding platform. This position reports directly to the Global Director for Nutritional Delivery.
Responsibilities
Own the global marketing leadership and support strategy for the regional marketing teams in the US, Canada, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.
Achieve financial targets with a focus on the current portfolio through commercial enablement activities, cost savings initiatives, and maintenance of business requirements.
Represent the category in a regular cadence of various business leadership presentations, including Monthly Financial Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews.
Contribute to the global product strategy for the portfolio, working with regional marketing leaders to uncover opportunities.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of marketing and product management disciplines necessary for building business plans, product plans, and marketing plans.
Identify and remain current on market trends to drive market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success.
Demonstrate advanced financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Support the development of business cases, investment requests, forecasting, pricing, deal structures, and assessing strategic options.
Influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, enterprise marketing, customer service, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, regional teams, and others.
Translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive revenue and profit.
Understand and utilize methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio decisions.
Take informed risk and be biased toward action.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Marketing or related business or engineering field, or equivalent work experience preferred; MBA preferred
5+ years of experience and some people management or mentorship experience, preferred
Detail oriented, highly organized with exceptional project management skills
Medical device, healthcare marketing, advertising agency, and/or other product or service management experience, preferred
Strong problem-solving skills, bias for action and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
Strong communication skills including interpersonal, written, and verbal
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Strategic mindset with a passion for creative problem-solving
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines at one time
Capable of multi-tasking and prioritization to deliver on business commitments in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Desire to invest in continuous development, and eventually move up to higher levels of leadership, preferred
Ability to travel 25% of the time

Anticipated salary range: $97,700 - $139,600
