Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark share the same campus. Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is a state-assisted, post-secondary institution of higher education offering associate degree and certificate programs. COTC was chartered by the Ohio Board of Regents in 1971 and has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1975. The COTC service district includes Licking, Knox and Coshocton counties. COTC is committed to unlocking the full potential that lives within each student. We award associate degrees and certificates in high-demand fields to get you into a career quickly. COTC also awards transfer degrees that start you on your path to a bachelor’s degree. Small class sizes and interaction with faculty through research projects are unique features at Ohio State Newark. Students can complete bachelor's degree programs in education, nursing (RN to BSN), business, English, hi...story and psychology. In addition, students can complete master's degrees in Early/Middle Childhood Education (M.Ed.) and in Integrated Teaching and Learning (M.A.), and most of the coursework for the master's in social work (M.S.W.). Students can take courses toward other Ohio State degree programs, and then transition on to the Columbus campus.
