The State University of New York at Fredonia seeks an enterprising self-starter to drive the University's web marketing strategies as our Web Marketing Specialist
The Web Marketing Specialist will ensure the University's website is current, dynamic, easy to navigate and optimized for all audiences (prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, staff, community, and university partners). This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and will partner closely with a range of stakeholders across the University to maximize the impact of web pages and ensure that they engage, inform, and convert visitors into students, engaged alumni, donors and brand ambassadors.
In addition to having a clear understanding of website performance metrics, the successful candidate will have the capability of using data to drive improvements.
This individual will oversee and assist in the creation and structure of new and existing web pages and ensure content is optimized for discovery by search engines and users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with Marketing and Communications leadership, Admissions, deans, programs, and academic units to ensure that web pages across the University's site are fresh, engaging, dynamic, consistent, and effective in achieving required goals; proactively leading efforts to optimize content and identify areas ripe for improvement.
Guides user experience decisions with key stakeholders
Responsible for creating, reviewing, editing, and enhancing content on the website
Leverages data and analytics to ensure content is optimized for university audiences, search engines, and accessibility.
Regular communication with the Director of Marketing and Communications to discuss direction, strategy, and priority
Collaborate on web-related analytics to inform decision-making for digital marketing campaigns. Establishing clear, regular metrics for success and dashboards
Managing website optimization efforts including analytics to improve discoverability (SEO), user experience, and conversion
Familiarity with best practices for content related to mobile optimization, website responsiveness, and accessibility
Collaborating closely with marketing and communications teams and content creators to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy, dynamically shares our story, and meets University standards

This is a full-time, term appointed, UUP represented position, with an annual salary of $60,000, beginning as soon as possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited university
Demonstrated experience in web marketing content
Demonstrated ability to write, edit, proofread, and format marketing copy for the web
Understanding of web content management, web page presentation and organization
Demonstrated knowledge managing, organizing, and auditing website content for optimal display on desktop/mobile
Knowledge of current website accessibility standards
Ability to use data to influence decision making and to communicate complex information so that it is easily understood by non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in a content management system (CMS)
Strong knowledge of integrated marketing strategies, website organization and user-friendly design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Higher education marketing experience
Experience working within Drupal CMS
Writing for digital marketing campaigns
Experience with usability testing for websites
Expert proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other web analytics and tracking platforms
Familiarity with project tracking software (i.e. Asana)
Experience in leading a comprehensive website redesign
