Department/College Description Organizationally positioned in RITs Division of Student Affairs, the Department of Assessment, Technology, and Communications is a vibrant team that provides leadership for and manages assessment, technology, and marketing/communications efforts. Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree (communications, marketing, or related field)
2-5 years of experience in a communications/multimedia/marketing writing-related position
Skills:
Ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies
Exceptional written communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and the ability to research, analyze and write content for both printed publications and web-based communications
Ability to work in leadership, consultative, and collaborative roles with a variety of individuals (staff, faculty, and students), as well as departments and committees across disciplines
Project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
Team-oriented, flexible, and customer-service orientation
Keen attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey complex information in accessible terms to diverse or multicultural audiences.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills.
Possess a deep understanding of a diverse student body and a demonstrated commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and cross-cultural issues.
Ability to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships based on respect, empathy, and honesty with diverse groups and individuals.
Ability to manage and maintain confidential and private information; uses confidential, sensitive, and/or private records and information, protects information appropriately.
