Reporting to the Director of Membership, in the Member and Field Relations Department, the Corporate Membership Coordinator will play a pivotal role supporting all aspects of the Air & Space Forces Association Corporate Membership experience, including customer service, process administration and data integrity management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer Relations (approximately 30% of effort):
Prove exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering appropriate solutions.
Actively engage AFA Corporate Member Point of Contacts across the year to deliver value through regular touchpoints, event invitations, profile updates and roster updates.
Membership Administration (approximately 35% of effort):
Assist with the coordination and fulfillment of AFA Corporate Membership from prospecting to annual renewal.
Schedule new member onboarding, track and communicate deliverables with colleagues to ensure an engaging and positive member experience.
Generate and process new and renewing AFA Corporate Member invoices.
Database Administration (approximately 30% of effort):
Update and capture relevant demographic/member areas of interest that will maximize relationships between AFA and Corporate Members.
Research prospect leads for future Corporate Membership through outreach and follow up; track and document efforts.
Other Duties as assigned (approximately 5% of effort):
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to provide support for events as needed, ensuring seamless coordination during peak periods.
Serves as a member of the Membership customer service call group to assist during peak event and/or staff absence.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrate a strong desire and drive for success and advancement in sales.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a membership role, ideally within an association setting.
Customer service experience requires; nonprofit or military support experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Experience with databases and ability to learn quickly; Salesforce experience preferred.
Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational and ethical practices.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with or able to learn additional business software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works out of Air & Space Forces Association’s headquarters in Arlington, VA.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, subject to modification based on the needs of each program or site.
Operates in a professional office environment with travel to local offices, community partners, and events.
This role is a hybrid role that will work 3 days out of the office located in Arlington, Virginia.
Physical Demands:
The position requires sedentary work (sitting most of the time with no adverse environmental exposure) and occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The position also includes the following physical requirements:
Movement. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
The employee in this position needs to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and printer.
The employee is required to communicate and hold verbal conversations with others by means of the spoken word. Employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
