How You Make An Impact:
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director, Product Marketing is responsible for defining value propositions for Ontada's solutions and executing a strategic marketing plan that fully supports the commercialization goals of the business. This individual deeply understands the oncology landscape and leverages an intimate understanding of customer needs to define differentiated go-to-market strategies that support profitable growth through customer acquisition, retention and optimization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can also execute; a data-driven analyst who also understands the power of stories. Most importantly, the ideal candidate is passionate about the role technology, education and evidence can play in bringing hope to cancer patients.
How You'll Spend Your Day:
Define and execute go-to-market strategy for our products
Drive a long-term strategy to raise awareness and differentiation of our products based on competition, market dynamics and emerging technologies
Develop and execute marketing plans for Ontada's product portfolio to drive customer awareness, consideration, purchase and retention
Synthesize insights of current and evolving oncology marketplace and customer-level needs at the channel and account segment levels to direct customer strategy and marketing efforts
Support product launches and refreshes by working closely with colleagues in sales, research, product management, finance, technology and more
Define value propositions and market-facing narratives for our products
Deeply understand the market and needs across target customer segments to define compelling value propositions for Ontada's products
Create narratives that succinctly convey the differentiation of our portfolio and value of individual products
Translate Ontada's clinician, data scientist and researcher expertise into compelling thought leadership platforms and programs
Drive growth by supporting sales and other customer-facing roles with engaging materials
Work closely with Ontada's Brand Marketing team to build, refine and maintain materials that convey how our solutions can address customer needs
Partner with our sales and customer engagement organizations to maximize the impact of messaging and collateral
Act as the internal champion for coordinated promotion of our portfolio to customers, connecting the dots to tie together our various efforts across all teams and channels

Experience You'll Need:
Typically requires 12+ years of product marketing experience with at least 4+ years in oncology and/or real-world data & evidence
Must have B2B experience selling data products into pharma
Experience building and leading a small, agile team (estimated 1-3 people)
Bachelor's degree in marketing, life sciences, business or related field (MBA in marketing or related business field is a plus)
Critical Skills Needed For Success
Demonstrated experience building successful go-to-market plans for new/updated products
Track record of successfully building and leading successful go-to-market plans that involve distilling a complex product into creative consumer marketing
Experience developing marketing strategies using both quantitative and qualitative insight
Demonstrated experience working with sales teams to develop sales enablement tools, content, and actionable competitive insights that will help them win in a highly competitive landscape

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$154,800 - $258,000
