Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Growth and Innovation will work alongside an experienced leadership team to create and implement strategies aimed at enhancing member value with a focus on sustainable growth. With the goal of growing revenue and market penetration within the profession, s/he will bring new and innovative ideas. S/he will work closely with the CEO, Leadership Team and MACPA Board of Directors to develop and execute strategies to grow and diversify revenue for the association while ensuring the organization is meeting the inherent needs of the profession it serves.
We are looking for a proven leader whose career in a similar-size or larger statewide or national membership, nonprofit, or for-profit organization has been highlighted by his or her vision in charting growth during times of significant change. The ideal candidate will be a goal-oriented professional possessing deep experience in blending expertise in marketing, sales, product development, consumer loyalty, and finance to achieve a business’ strategic objectives. S/he will serve as a key member of the leadership team and foster a culture of excitement and innovation while acting as a catalyst to drive growth and achieve organizational goals.
S/he will have a keen ability to translate both short and long-term plans into action with strategic direction from the Board and in collaboration with staff leaders, assuring execution through our proven process using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

Create and implement strategies across the business that maximize member loyalty and increase value and association revenue.
Elevate and diversify non-dues revenue through sponsorships, partnerships, and new programmatic offerings that enhance member value.
Analyze the behaviors of members to make data informed decisions to create or refine strategies across the organization to optimize growth.
Look outward for opportunities to expand, enter new areas, or strengthen existing programs while possessing a strong knowledge of internal operations to assess whether and how the organization can manage new risks. Stay ahead of emerging market trends.

Key Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be:
A leader with a proven track record with a minimum of 5 years experience
A history of maximizing member engagement and retention to drive revenue is required.
Experience innovating and growing revenue through professional development or sponsorship programs is preferred.
Expertise in capturing the needs of the customer through solution-driven programs.
Strong initiative to take on new projects and to strive for continual improvement.
Familiarity in managing a budgeting process and allocating resources.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation is preferred.
Location
The MACPA is headquartered in Towson, MD. This hybrid remote position has occasional in-state travel requirements for meetings and member engagement as well as out-of-state professional development opportunities. Candidates should be prepared to balance remote work with in-person responsibilities as needed.
Salary
This is a brand new position within the MACPA and one with growth opportunity. Accordingly, we are open to candidates with varying levels of experience, and will certainly work with the right applicant to set a compensation package that is fair to both parties.
