Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategizes email campaigns and manages the content strategy, email software and analytics for those campaigns.
  • Works with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure Tessitura mailing and e-mail lists are managed and extracted correctly for use in marketing campaigns. Helps maintain ticket buyer data between Tessitura and WordFly.
  • Cleans and analyzes audience data to better segment and target marketing efforts. Works with Digital System Analyst to collect, clean, and ensure audience data is being tagged and organized effectively.
  • Uses data to create metrics analyzing effectiveness of marketing campaigns, including email, radio, and paid digital.
  • Reconciles marketing spend with AP. Keeps track of invoices with AP.
  • Creates “Artist Ad Plans” detailing media spend for Artistic after each concert.
  • Strategize radio plans and books radio flights.
  • Helps Marketing Director keep track of project management for event on sales. Drafts marketing plans for summer concerts.
  • Proof program book, ads, brochures, and other collateral as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of customer surveys.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as creativity; able to create promotions and analyze campaign data.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Incredible attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of email and digital marketing platforms, best practices, and technology.
  • Ability to write creatively and to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and technological advancements quickly, inherent technical understanding.

Education and Experience:    

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, an emphasis in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience (minimum) with progressively greater responsibility and successful outcomes in a comparable position.
  • Email marketing experience desired. Experience with WordFly, or similar email client.
  • Experience preferred in the following areas: data collection and clearing, multi-dimensional marketing projects and/or online marketing and new media technologies.
  • Working experience with Excel, HTML, Tessitura and/or Ticketmaster, Adobe Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Experience working with arts organizations, museums or other comparable cultural institutions is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of classical music is highly desirable.

General Requirements: 

  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to pick up and move a minimum of 20 lbs.

Working Conditions

  • Regular, predictable attendance required as well as evening and weekend work shifts.
  • Normal office working conditions: sitting at a desk and computer terminal for long periods of time, typing and computer work, light to moderate lifting.


Pay Range:

$28.85/hr – 31.25/hr (Non-Exempt / Hourly)
