The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national nonprofit association established in 1863 representing 106,000+ veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services, is seeking a Senior Manager, Engagement Marketing to join our Marketing and Communications team, located at our Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois – a northwest suburb of Chicago. The AVMA’s mission is to lead the profession by advocating for its members and advancing the science and practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal and human health.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing with 2 direct reports, the Senior Manager, Engagement Marketing will be responsible for leading campaigns that generate member engagement, increase member satisfaction, and generate revenue. They will manage campaigns to increase engagement throughout a member’s AVMA journey, from new member acquisition and early career through experienced member with long membership tenure. Collaborates with AVMA family members, including the AVMA Trust, American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) and AVMA PAC to support engagement in those activities. This highly visible and critical role involves a blend of tactical and strategic activities. They will identify innovative ways to communicate benefits and value to targeted audiences, helping the AVMA grow its brand and increase member engagement; and will utilize all channels in the marketing mix to meet marketing program goals. Up to 10% travel.
