Work closely with the Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications to support the goals for Auxiliary Services including University Housing, College Park District, the University Center, and The Commons. This position will be a part of a team that is responsible for front-facing marketing within the University and beyond, as well as be a key representative for the departments marketing efforts for external events. This position will create collateral in digital, print, and face-to-face formats for use across multiple platforms. This position assists with the supervision of student employees. Essential Duties:
Student-facing marketing role for University Housing.
Prepare and present information to prospective, current students, parents, and guests.
Assist with the planning and execution of University Recruitment events, such as Maverick Experience, Connection Days, Round-Ups, etc.
Engage with students, parents, and guests at these recruitment events to promote University Housing.
Lead University Housing tours for guests when necessary.
Responsible for planning and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies to engage with students across multiple platforms.
This includes but is not limited to the design and creation of physical designs, digital graphics, and editing videos for social media posts.
Responsible for the promotion of the University Housing brand on social media with trend-making campaigns to ensure continued social media growth for University Housing and Apartment and Residence Life.
Assist with the training and supervision of Housing Ambassadors and Marketing Interns.
Planning and implementation of marketing campaigns to engage current students with the Apartment and Residence Life staff.
Assist with marketing projects and campaigns as they relate to Student.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, art, or related field.
Two plus (2+) years in Adobe Creative Suite Series programs or the equivalent experience.
Minimum experience in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Adobe Premier Pro).
Comfort with the Canvas visual suite.
Comfort with learning, using, and troubleshooting technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Art, or related field.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing projects.
Five (5) years of professional experience working in retail marketing, public relations, direct marketing, brand management, or related experience.
Previous professional experience working within higher education.
