What Marketing Communications Specialists contribute to Cardinal Health
The Sr. Specialist, Marketing Communications, defines and executes marketing communication strategies in support of the company's business objectives, image and reputation for both internal and external stakeholders.
Position Summary
The position engages various internal and external audiences in the purpose and priorities of Cardinal Health OptiFreight® Logistics key initiatives and strategies with the goal of accelerating company performance. This role directly supports the OptiFreight® Logistics Sr. Manager, Brand Marketing and Communications in developing and executing internal and external marketing communication strategies and deliverables on behalf of the OptiFreight® Logistics brand. This role also evaluates employee engagement with internal communications and liaises with leaders to ensure dissemination of communications through internal channels and meetings.
Responsibilities
Create communication deliverables such as internal newsletters, talking points, sales enablement communication playbooks, social media posts, etc.
Support and coordinate internal announcements for the OptiFreight® Logistics team.
Support and manage content for internal channels (Intranet, Viva Engage, internal newsletter, etc.)
Develop content and provide support with key internal meetings, town hall meetings, leadership meetings and National Sales Meetings.
Develop internal content to support the roll-out of strategic business initiatives.
Ownership of external company website(s), including ongoing content updates and proactive recommendations to enhance external web presence.
Support Sr. Manager, Brand Marketing and Communications on business-specific issues and contribute to the company?s issue communication and business continuity plans, including customer communications and internal stakeholder engagement.
Provide executive communications support in partnership with Sr. Manager, Brand Marketing and Communications including talking points for internal/external presentations and messaging.
Provide executive communications support by creating and managing social content calendar, coordinating social initiatives with enterprise social media team.
Develop and curate social content using both internal and external sources.
Manage social media measurement and reporting.
Collaborate with Marketing teammates on joint initiatives such as product launches and content marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Applied knowledge in working with social media and digital communications.
Knowledge of effective brand communication strategies.
Team player with the ability to work cross functionally with peers and business leaders.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%.
